The producer of this tea oversees every stage of production to ensure that every stage is carried out with the utmost care and precision. Only the finest leaves are selected and due to the laborious processing methods, only a few kilograms are produced every year.
The tea is characterised by the colour of the liquor, a fantastic transluscent green and by a sweetness and full mouth feel that we have not seen in any other Gyokuro. This is a truly special tea.
This tea can be infused up to 5 times.
Infuse: 1 tbs per cup; water temperature 40-50°C (bath temperature): infuse 3-4 minutes
Appearance: clearly hand crafted needles of deep pine green
Infusion: beautifully translucent and light but with a bright underlying emerald sheen
Aroma: pristinely light and clear with rich sweet scents and umami
Taste: a combination of the most perfectly presented umami flavours with very silky and glycerous mouth feel and delicious sweetness
