Picked between 27th April-3rd May from Minamiyama Shiromura Gardens. Our Sencha Shincha green tea was picked during the first month's harvest of Sencha. Little of the first month's harvest is available outside of Japan and we were only able to secure 1kg of this extremely special tea.

Our Sencha Shincha green tea is characterised by a light and bright sweetness and pronounced spring flower aroma. Shincha retains these flavours in abundance until the end of June after which it takes on a more robust and mature flavour as it ages.

We recommend making the most of this tea while it is at its freshest, throughout June.

Due to the quality of the leaf, this Sencha can be infused 4-5 times.

Appearance: fine pine green needles of leaf

Infusion: light and bright jade

Aroma: similar to our Supreme Sencha from Wazuka, but lighter and brighter and replete with spring flower freshness

Taste: light bodied and gloriously sweet with pronounced spring flower flavours
