Beautifully shaped leaves with a dark golden green hue on infusion. This tea is valued as one of the best Wuyi Rock Oolong teas and has a deliciously rich, milky flavour and aroma with hints of hazelnut.

When infused the large curved leaves of this tea appear a rich dark gold colour, traditionally associated with the shape and colour of the shell of the golden turtle. The original bush is one of the four famous bushes of Wuyi.

For me the best teas are oolongs, I consider myself fairly versed now in the oolong world. One thing you will read on any site that sells oolong is its impressive re-infuse value. This bubble needs to be burst! Many sites claim that an oolong can be reinfused upto 10 times! Ihave had maybe a dozen or more so oolongs in my life and to be honest you should consider half that number a more reasonable expectation (unless you like coloured water) Much needed, long overdue, slightly bitter-mini rant over. GWT Oolong is my current fave, I hate describing the taste of tea because 99% of the time flavours are so individual to the individual, how your brain perceives a flavor that my opinion on flavor may not equal yours at all. All i can say is this tea is in my very ever so 'umble opinion one of the best Wuyi oolongs i've had, Sparrows Tongue also comes to find but doesn't hold up to as many infusions as GWT. As i say i find it pointless to try and describe the flavors because for you they may be very very different. All i can and will say is that this really is a fine, fine oolong, if you like your oolongs a little darker than a tieguanyin give some of the Wuyi oolongs a try. I apologize for a throughly unhelpful review of such a fine tea, but tea is such a very hard thing to review.
