Composed of large, tippy leaf this vintage puerh tea is warm, sweet with a tangy finish characteristic of Banzhang mountain where the tea is produced.
Appearance
Dry leaf: Large, rough twists, spears and flakes of leaf in various shades of black, brown and pale tippy orange.
Wet leaf: Dark green-brown portions of Da Yeh leaf with some stalk.
Liquor: Deep golden-brown liquor with russet glints.
Aroma
Dry leaf: The aroma of perfectly stored puerh - rich scents of soft leather, dry undergrowth, cedar richness, antique furniture and well-used tea chests.
Liquor: Complex and referential aromas of great harmony, with notes of soft, sweet smoke and dry forest underbrush.
Taste
A pure and intense flavour of walnut, stacked straw, warm earth and sweet-cured tobacco leaf and with the characteristically tangy finish of Banzhang mountain tea. Graceful yet compelling.
