Guizhou lies in the southwest of China, bordered by Guangxi, Yunnan, Hunan, Sichuan and Chongqing. It is a moutainous province with a subtropical and humid climate. Great teas are grown across the province, but until recently, many of the best crops have been drunk locally.
Guizhou is also renowned in China for being an ethnically diverse province, with 37% of the population being from minority groups, including the Miao, Yao, Yi and Dong. The southeastern corner of the province is home to many unique Dong minority towns, famous for their covered bridges and cobbled streets.
