Ali Shan is famous for its beautiful sunrises, making it one of the most well-known tourist destinations in Taiwan.

Tea is grown at high-altitude on Ali Shan, where the climate changes from subtropical to temperate and alpine. Tea bushes at this altitude grow slowly. This slow growth can be seen on infusion of the tea - the tightly rolled leaves, expand and unfurl to show that each picking is in fact a number of leaves, separated by a strong stalk. Ali Shan oolong teas are famous for their light, floral aroma and creamy, refreshing taste.
