Produced in small batches by a producer with 37 years of experience in the tea industry in a purpose built factory on Coonoor Estate in the Nilgiri Hills, Southern India. Only the finest leaves from 46 acre, organically certified area are used to produce this tea. No shortcuts are made in the production of this tea - it goes through many stages of traditional processing.

*Based on 3g per serving, infused twice.

Appearance: very large for a black tea with matt dark brown leaves with hints of green and golden tips.

Infusion: rich golden raw sienna

Aroma: warm and fragrant, slightly reminiscent of second flush Darjeeling but with a spicy richness and hints of orange peel

Taste: rounded with some astringency and caramel sweetness

Infuse: 1 tbsp per cup; use boiling water; infuse 3 minutes

Packaging

Our loose teas are packaged in gold resealable ziplock bags. Wherever possible we use gas or vacuum packing to ensure that our teas arrive with you as fresh as possible. Be sure to reseal your bags and store them in cool, dry conditions away from cooking smells or high temperatures.

Our teaware is packaged in boxes that are specially designed to protect the pieces inside during delivery.

Our gift sets are packaged in beautiful gold gift boxes, with ample protection for delivery.
