2011 was a great year for Water Sprite. This is without a doubt, the finest Water Sprite we have selected for a number of years. It is a tremendous example of Wuyi oolong tea with a perfect balance of flavours.

Hazel-cream opening textures give way to a brisk, lively finish with some liquorice-root spice.

*Based on 3g per serving, infused 4 times.

Appearance: Thickly contoured twists and rolls of black leaf with an olive-green tinge

Infusion: Deep russet-amber liquor with thick twists of olive-green leaf

Aroma: A seemless balance of subtle flower, earth and fragrant wood notes

Taste: Hazel-cream opening textures give way to a brisk, almost liquorice-root finish

Infuse: 1 tbs per cup; use near boiling water, infuse for 3 minutes

Packaging

Our loose teas are packaged in gold resealable ziplock bags. Wherever possible we use gas or vacuum packing to ensure that our teas arrive with you as fresh as possible. Be sure to reseal your bags and store them in cool, dry conditions away from cooking smells or high temperatures.

Our teaware is packaged in boxes that are specially designed to protect the pieces inside during delivery.
