We were only able to purchase 2kg of this very special tea. It has a rich and smooth mouthfeel and a flavour reminiscent of aging forests, sandalwood and mineral complexities. This is an extremely refined puerh tea and a must try for any true puerh fan.

Due to the age and quality of this tea, it can be infused 7-10 times.

*Based on 5g per serving, infused 7 times.

Appearance: dark brown, visibly aged whole leaves with deep rust coloured edges

Infusion: deep ruby red-brown

Aroma: the wet leaves give off a full aroma of aging wood, minerals and leather, without any mustiness

Taste: careful storage and aging has given this tea a fantastically smooth and silky mouthfeel that glides around the mouth. Hints of tobacco and sandalwood. An incredibly soothing tea which deserves to be savoured over many infusions

Infuse - 2 tbsp/5-8g per cup or small teapot for 15-30 seconds in near-boiling water. Discard the first infusion. Re-infuse at least ten times

This superb tea develops a glowing brown colour and an earthy/incense aroma. On the palate it is intense, with reminiscence of bracken infused woodland river water but with a pleasant, warm smooth finish. On the mind, calm predominates with alertness coming second - a deeply soothing experience which will provoke rich memories. Esoteric for the western palate and an amazing treat.
