These teas are the culmination of almost 20 years of personal relationships with producers deep in the heart of China’s historic tea origins. The set contains an oolong from Wuyi and another from Anxi, and a black tea from Wuyi’s Tongmu village. Teas of this quality are not usually for sale.

Essence Collection
The Essence Collection is for tea drinkers who want access to the rarest and hardest to find teas. It contains three prestigious styles of tea that don’t normally make it into the western market, as tea masters will reserve them for their close contacts and to give as gifts every year. Thanks to the personal relationships we have formed over the years, you can now experience these exceptional teas outside of China. The collection includes:
50g Tie Guan Yin from Dazhai Garden in the authentic terroir of Anxi County, Fujian. This tea embodies the myths and art of Chinese oolongs. It is crafted by tea master Wang Rongfeng, who we have worked with for almost a decade. Expertly rolled, the infusion reveals incredible orchid aromas with tart fruit complexities.
40g Rou Gui, which is nurtured in the mineral rich soils of Nine Dragon Nest Garden in the ancient Wuyi Mountains. It is skilfully crafted by tea master Jiang Guiming, who bakes the leaves three times with charcoal to create characterful, intense minerality and dark fruit complexities.
50g Jin Jun Mei, which is grown in the rich soils of Guanping Garden nestled within dense forests of Wuyi’s Tongmu Village, the birthplace of black tea. Ed, JING Founder, has visited this area many times and was fortunate to gain numerous invitation into the nature reserve. The tea master, Huang Youde, uses only whole buds to elicit unique, refined notes of malt and honeyed floral sweetness.
