Lingia Estate lies about 30km west of Darjeeling town, close to the Indian border with Nepal. The estate ranges in altitude from 2800-6000ft and faces Kanchenjunga, one of the tallest mountains in the world.
The estate covers about 220 hectares of land, making it relatively small for a Darjeeling estate. Despite its size, Lingia is home to around 5000 people, mostly belonging to local Gorkha (Nepali) race. The estate provides free primary education, medical facilities and housing to all its workers and their families.
Lingia is organically certified and this year our Organic Darjeeling 2nd Flush Supreme comes from the estate. It is a truly fine tea, with a beautiful and characteristic warm muscatel aroma and a refreshing and succulent taste.
