Organic Dragon Well Supreme (Hangzhou Longjing)
有机龙井绿茶
Finding this tea every year is one of our favourite challenges. We’ve been working with Shentang Wen for a few years now as he’s one of the most skilled pan-firing tea masters we’ve ever met. This year, he’s perfectly captured the balance of spring green and floral freshness with warm and distinct chestnut aromas. Close to Thousand Island Lake, his beautiful garden is surrounded by lush, green forest. Here, they use a very traditional and lesser known cultivar of the tea plant called Jiukeng, one of the earliest cultivars used to create Dragon Well tea. Hand-crafted and traditionally pan-fired, the leaves impart a velvety, thick infusion with a fresh, chestnut flavour that is truly unique. This tea will appeal to many as it has a very sweet, easy drinking character. Being a supreme tea, it really does deliver on the classic Dragon Well flavours of intense green freshness, some umami, and the sweetness of something similar to hazel or roasted chestnuts. If you want something that has the refreshment and coolness of spring, but with a slight warming, nutty edge, you’ll love Dragon Well.

Hi Jonas,
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a high rated review. It's great to hear how much you love the Organic Dragon Well Supreme tea purchased from JING.
Warm regards,
JING Customer Service Team - Such a small amount of tea for such a big price.I was expecting a larger pack to last at least a few weeks. Instead, i received a very small 50g pack - only had enough for a few cups of tea! Not worth the nearly £40 price tag!! Very expensive!

Hi,
Thank you for taking the time to leave your honest feedback.
I can only apologise for this and the disappointment it has caused.
Using our recommended recipe a 50g bag would be good for 12 cups - or double that if you infuse twice. We also have a second grade of Organic Dragon Well at £17 for 50g, which might be more suitable for daily drinking.

Assuring you of our continued attention.
JING Customer Service Team - Organic Dragon Well supremeIt’s the best dragon well tea I have tried so far!
- Smooth and refreshingExcellent quality tea!
- Outstanding teaI like very much adore Long Jing tea - my one of all time favourites - this crop is excellent - it brings back great memories of tasting Long Jing in the tea plantations in HangZhou several years ago - thank you JING Tea for you wonderful service bring this latest crop straight to my front door.
- This year is outstanding!I've been a fan of Long Jing tea for years, and drink it every day. Jing Tea was my first source for it, probably back in something like 2006. Crops vary a bit from year to year, but in the past few seasons, Jing has taken special care to source wonderful examples. I've particularly appreciated the switch to old tree varieties, and earlier picking. This year's tea really shows what a Long Jing tea can be.
For people who may not know this tea, Long Jing has varied notes. They range from floral/grassy to a richer, fuller flavour people often describe as nutty or chestnut. This year, it's balanced between the two - tending toward the nutty, but with freshness at the start. It is a wonderfully satisfying taste, soothing and mood enhancing. The leaves are small and brightly coloured - they lie beautifully together and are comfortingly fragrant in the warm gaiwan even before the water goes in. The calm starts there - a little oasis of peace.
For people who know Long Jing: If you liked last year's crop, you'll like this one even more.
