    A highly aromatic green tea with syrupy caramel sweetness, savoury notes and plenty of warming, roasted depth. A real comfort drink for any time of day.

    We looked to Kagoshima on our search for this tea, not only for its subtropical climate and fertile gardens, but also because of its reputation as a region for producinggreat organic tea in Japan. Our Hojicha is made using a blend of stems of tea leaves from three organic gardens, which have been flash roasted to create a mellow, soothing drink. The roasting removes any bitterness and astringency normally associated with green tea, making way for a syrupy caramel sweetness and warming umami in the taste.
