Anji Green Green Tea
The Origin Story
Settling for nothing but the best in our quest to find delicious teas of authentic origin, we proudly bring you the freshest, sweetest 2017 Anji Green.
This is truly exceptional Chinese green tea and one of our favourites every year. Picked right at the start of spring from Yu Lan tea garden in Anji County, Zhejiang. This Anji Bai Cha combines spring floral scents, sweet sappiness, and a lush, creamy texture. These plump two leaf and bud sets are are expertly picked and processed from the very first growth of the season.
Harvested so early in the year, in China this tea carries the accolade of Pre-Rain, a hallmark of excellence and rarity.
To get the very best from this tea, it's important to infuse it with water that is no hotter than 70°C.

Anji Green Green Tea
This tea is really exceptional - sweet and refreshing. I only bought a small amount but I can't stop drinking it! Well worth the cost.
Still Delightful One Year OnIt took me awhile to come to Anji Bai Cha. At first, I thought all the stuff relating to preparation was a bit too precious - I'd never manage it properly, and what could possibly be the point of all that fuss (temperatures, quantities, timings and blah blah blah)? Then curiosity got the better of me, and I tried it.Measurement and management were much easier than I'd imagined. The Jing one cup teapot is a perfect way of keeping things simple - and letting you take pleasure in the way the leaves unfold. The bright colour and fresh flavour contrast nicely with the somewhat nutty notes of Long Jing (my other favourite), so a nice variation for the afternoon. I want to say it's grassy or like hay - but more in the feeling you get from the way they smell - this sense of a wind or breeze that opens things up & lets them breathe. Ok so perhaps not that helpful an evocation, but try it and you'll find out. And that brings me to my final point. I was disappointed as the months passed and there was no 2014 season offer here. Keen to discover what the new year had brought, I went so far as to order elsewhere. What they sent was nice enough and leaves had been well looked after - but still was not as lively as the year-old Anji Bai Cha from Jing. So there you go.
So refreshingThis is the best green tea I have ever tasted. Very refreshing and light. First sampled this at the Westin hotel in Valencia. Highly recommended.
PURE HEAVENAs a green tea lover I have tried many, Japanese Sencha being one of my favourites. That was until I tried Jings Anji green tea, which let me tell you is pure heaven in a cup. Would recommend to anyone who simply likes the finest of green teas.
