Cooked Puerh Mini Cakes


The Origin Story

Pressed exclusively for JING, these cooked puerh mini cakes come from Donghzai garden in Yunnan province, China. The tea leaves were picked in Autumn 2018 and processed using the 'wo dui' (wet piling) fermentation method; creating the rich flavour of incense woods and tobacco leaf, and a velvety texture unique to this style of tea. The loose tea was then placed into storage for two years to help develop it's complex character, before being individually pressed into the traditional 'tuo' shape in March 2020.

Yunnan is one of China's most ethnically diverse provinces and some of the minority tribes live in mountainous nature reserves where the Da Ye tea variety grows natively as trees of up to 1,000 years old.
