    Lovely light Oolong

Nice sweet aroma and gentle but complex taste.
I brew it grandpa style and it keeps for up to 3 times. With every cup the taste changes a bit.

    Wonderful Creamy Oolong

My recent purchase was to give to a friend for her birthday, that's how good it is! I have bought this oolong three times now, it was one of the first oolongs I tried and it makes a crisp clear pale yellow infusion with a creamy mouthfeel and lovely milky aroma. It is the brew I do for friends that do know what an oolong tea tastes like and they always enjoy. Thoroughly recommended for you to enjoy too!

    refreshing

This is a visually satisfying tea to brew. The leaves unfurl to reveal the magnificent tips they comprise. The colour is light and greeny-gold and flavour is light and refreshing. Lovely - 5 stars

    Fantastic green Oolong

It has a great combination of green, floral and creamy flavours… One of the most aromatic teas. Also great as a cold infusion!

    Best green oolong out there

Can really taste the freshness of this. Delightfully floral and crisp, you can really feel the tonifying effect of this impeccable Ali Shan oolong. I've bought cheaper Ali Shan varieties elsewhere and they don't pack the punch this one does. Simply superb!

    My favourite tea

Ali Shan is wonderful. After many years drinking only green tea, Ali Shan introduced me to Oolongs. The flavour always reminds me of malted milk biscuits combined with a slight sweet fruitiness. It has become my daily start of the day tea and I never tire of drinking it.

    METAPHYSICAL

A tasty cup of JING Ali Shan is for me much more than just a somewhat ostentatiously exotic warm beverage. It is an anchor for my soul, a beacon of hope, a pole star of certain reassurance. It is good evidence that in all its infinite mystery, the cosmic consciousness is biased towards the good.

    Deliciously refreshing

I have recently been introduced to oolong teas and this is my absolute favourite. Light and refreshing, this is now my every day afternoon treat. I reuse the leaves over many cups, so it's worth every penny

Good quality, reasonable price and prompt delivery

Makes a good quality and nice fresh tasting cuppa. Personally I don't brew it for quite as long as it recommends but I guess thats just personal taste. Slightly more expensive than some other brands but probably worth the extra.

    A very satisfying Oolong

A beautiful creamy buttery aroma and taste, accompanied by plenty of dark green vegetal (almost sea-weedy) notes.A lovely long finish as well - that buttery quality really lingers at the back of the throat. Best Oolong I've had for a long time.Delivery time and customer focus was also very impressive.

    Never fails

I've ordered this tea a number of times from Jing and it never fails to deliver. The first infusion is delicate with hints of what's to come - the second, third and fourth infusions are full of fresh flavours with slight sweetness, a rich mouth feel and no tannin or bitterness whatsoever. The fifth infusion starts to introduce bitterness and loses the fullness of previous brews, and that's where it gets discarded. A fabulous tea to sit and enjoy in some quality me time.

Rich and buttery with muscatel wine flavours

I could smell rich buttery aromas as soon as I opened the sample pack of this. When I added the tightly rolled leaves to my freshly washed glass jug, and they first touched moisture, I smelt this amazing fermented yak butter! Now, that's quite a surprise because I've never smelt real yak butter, but that's immediately what my brain told me was there.I washed the leaves for 30 seconds, and then made a first infusion. It was amazing; so creamy, with a muscatel wine flavour. Imagine if you found the most beautiful velvety white wine which tasted of fine darjeeling tea, and then you drank that hot- that approximates what you taste with this. The buttery richness stays in the second infusion, and drinking this is truly a rewarding experience. It makes me think of the finest Australian white wines, the best darjeeling tea, and yaks! that's quite a tea.

    Wonderful memories

I fell for oolong tea at business meetings in Taiwan (the meetings always started with a tumbler containg the tea leaves plonked in front of me, hot water poured in and no business discussed until the tea leaves had unfurled and infused and I had taken the first sip) and I have been trying ever since to recapture the memories (of the tea, not the meetings)Jing Teas a li shan oolong hits the spot perfectlyI normally start my day around 05.00 and this tea is the perfect first drink of the day - delicate, cleansing and refreshingI prefer a lighter touch than Mr Pennington (one heaped teaspoon for me) but I agree with everything he says about the multiple infusions, although I normally stop at three and have never tried numbers five or six

An oolong in a class of its own

As soon as I opened the vacuum sealed packet to this tea and smelt its rich, fruity and almost nutty aroma I knew I was in for a special experience with this tea. It is quite green for an oolong, which is pleasing for an avid green tea fan like me.After a few attempts with different steeping times and quantities I have settled on one dessert spoon for two minutes with water at about 85 degrees C. I infuse it in my glass teapot as I love watching the small rolls of tea unroll into a very deep green full leave. The aroma whilst it brews is even better than when it is fresh out of the packet although it is its clean, unique, nutty, fruity and bright flavour that has made this my favourite tea so far in Jing‰'s range. I steeped it four times with the 3rd steeping being the best, although I think it could easily be steeped 5 or maybe even 6 times. This is truly an exceptional oolong that I cannot recommend more highly.
