Organic Cherrywood Lapsang

Smoke, Incense, Malty From Yunnan, China
Our reinvention of Lapsang Souchong is an Organic Chinese black tea smoked over cherrywood in the UK. Inspired by traditional lapsang from the Wuyi Mountains, we’ve combined the natural smoky notes and richness of Yunnan black tea with sweetly aromatic smoke from cherrywood to create a exquisitely smooth lapsang experience.

Organic Cherrywood Lapsang

正山小种

Smoked black tea has been arriving from China since the early days of tea clippers, when it was known as Bohea tea - the spelling in local dialect for Wuyi Mountains. Our Cherrywood Lapsang takes a black tea from Yunnan Province, China and pairs it with cherrywood smoke for an outstanding flavour combination. The smoking takes place in the UK where a special process to filter smoke from cherrywood has been developed. The filtration removes acridity and other impurities, which results in a greater flavour clarity and smoothness to the finished tea.

    Smoky, smooth, sublime

A wonderful combination of smokiness and smoothness unlike so many lapsangs which can have bitter notes. Love it and have already bought my second pack!
