The Story of this Tea

The magic happens after dark in Yunnan. For five nights, the most tender spring-picked tea buds lie beneath jasmine flowers that bloom only in the darkness. What emerges is a delicate and intoxicating white tea that soothes and refreshes like no other, with notes of cucumber and melon married with jasmine’s vivid florals. Proof, we believe, that traditional methods are the best.

A lovely delicate tea, very refreshing and calming during the recent warm weather. Jasmine Silver Needle is my favourite summer tea, of course purchased from Jing Teas!

The tea itself is lovely, the packaging is not the easiest to use so does need decanting, and postage is too expensive for esssentially a large letter size

Lovely and delicate

This is my favourite tea so far. It has a lovely floral note and is refreshing. I don't leave it to infuse for the full time as I find it to be too strong but that is the same for all teas, for my personal taste.

Absolutely amazing tea. I didn’t even know white tea existed so I’m so glad this company popped up on my Insta feed. Yeah okay so it’s not cheap but is anything elite cheap? Plus, for me anyway, it won’t be an everyday tea. It will remain my treat tea.

How do I store JING tea?

All tea should be kept away from heat, light, moisture and odours. Exposure to these will cause the tea to deteriorate and lose flavour.

We recommend storing our loose teas in our beautiful Refill Caddies or its resealable ziplock bag, and store them in a cool dry place. Generally speaking, black teas and more heavily oxidized oolongs can be stored for a longer time than green, white and lightly oxidized oolong teas. Green teas, white teas and light oolong teas are best drunk within two to three months of opening.

However, they can also be stored in the fridge to maintain freshness for as long as possible. If you choose to store your green, white and light oolongs in the fridge, be careful to take the packs out a little in advance of making your tea so that they can reach room temperature. Opening a bag straight from the fridge will result in condensation on the inside of the pack, which when closed can then affect the quality of the tea inside.
