What is a flowering tea?
Flowering tea, sometimes known as blooming tea, is usually buds and leaves of green tea hand tied by string together with flower petals and wrapped into a ball, which unfurls when infused in boiling water
How do you make flowering tea?
To make flowering tea, place one ball in a tall glass or teapot and pour on boiling water. Over around 5 minutes the ball will unfurl and sink to reveal the green tea leaves and flower petals inside.
Can you eat flowering tea?
Flowering tea is intended for infusion with boiling water, to be drunk rather than eaten
