Where does this cup come from?

Tinghir, Morocco

Roses have been a powerful symbol ever since they were first cultivated. Flourishing in the hot days and cold nights of the desert in ancient Persia, our organic rose tea is grown in what is now Iran. The delicate buds are picked in the morning, out of the direct sunlight and during a low breeze. This locks in their beautiful fragrance before they are slow-dried to retain their sweet floral flavour. Clean, refreshing and soft, with a leafy vegetal note that cuts through the fragrance, they're nothing like the sweet rosewater you might know from cooking. Did you know, ‘rose tisane’ is a preferable term to ‘rose tea’, as tea is an infusion of leaves only from the Camellia sinensis.

Perfect evening drink.

Delicious! Such a refreshing, relaxing drink. We find we can use one bud per cup and get a second infusion. Will definitely be keeping a good supply of these in the cupboard.

Dreamy taste

I cannot do justice with this one. I absolutely adore it! The look of the rose buds, the aroma and the taste. Just uplifting! The taste lingers on my tongue for days and makes me nostalgic of Arabian delight treats. Yummy!

Love it!

Drank this brew for the first time at the Lowry Hotel and I couldn't get enough of it. The waiter told me the make was Jing (I wrote the name down on a napkin) and I ordered my first bag of Rosebud tea. It is so subtle, so delicate, so fragrant, so delicious! im now venturing out into the world of Jing tea and ordered some new flavours, but the Rosebud tea is a firm favourite.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I store JING tea?

All tea should be kept away from heat, light, moisture and odours. Exposure to these will cause the tea to deteriorate and lose flavour.

We recommend storing our loose teas in our beautiful Refill Caddies or its resealable ziplock bag, and store them in a cool dry place. Generally speaking, black teas and more heavily oxidized oolongs can be stored for a longer time than green, white and lightly oxidized oolong teas. Green teas, white teas and light oolong teas are best drunk within two to three months of opening.

However, they can also be stored in the fridge to maintain freshness for as long as possible. If you choose to store your green, white and light oolongs in the fridge, be careful to take the packs out a little in advance of making your tea so that they can reach room temperature. Opening a bag straight from the fridge will result in condensation on the inside of the pack, which when closed can then affect the quality of the tea inside.

What are your shipping methods and costs?

How do you source your teas?

We don’t just believe that single origin and single garden teas taste better. We go direct to source to get them. Cutting out the middlemen in this way encourages transparency by increasing traceability. It also helps us to build strong relationships with producers, so we can better support them and their communities. We back this up with stringent responsible procurement processes, applicable to all of our suppliers. You can find out more here.
