  • Description

A rich and buttery oolong tea, lifted by caramel sweetness and subtle floral notes. This tea is skilfully crafted by masters who roast the leaves to create sumptuous autumnal flavours.

"Fabulously fragrant, almost sweetly nutty oolong from one of the “‘grand crus’” of the Chinese tea world. Knockout."

As featured in The Guardian by Fiona Beckett.

The Wuyi Mountains of Fujian province are at the heart of China's oolong tea production. Grown in mineral-rich soils, the teas produced here are abundant in flavour and complexity. Thereare numerous cultivars of the tea plant used to create this style of oolong, with each one offering a unique nuance of flavour, expertly teased out by the masters who produce them. This season's Wuyi Oolong is Yellow Rose (Huang Meigui), which is rich and autumnal with fragrant notes of rose and peach, and a sublime texture.

Where does this cup come from?

Fujian, China

To make Flowering Jasmine & Lily, we reserve the best single origin green tea from the spring crop in cold-store until the summer. Fresh, spring green tea leaves are then hand-tied with beautifully fragrant natural local flowers by skilled artisans at Mr Lin’s small workshop in a village next to the tea gardens. Upon infusion, the bulbs will unfurl into an enchanting display of vibrantly-coloured lily petals and jasmine blossoms.
