Where does this cup come from?

Blended in Germany with blackcurrant from Hungary and hibiscus from Nigeria

A bold, bright and natural caffeine-free herbal infusion with whole dried blackcurrants, berries and hibiscus flowers. To ensure a textured natural taste, each ingredient has been dried slowly to retain its essential oil, flavour and aroma. We crafted this specific blend for the perfect, complementary balance of berry sweetness and tart hibiscus. Did you know, ‘herbal infusion’ is a preferable term to ‘herbal tea’, as tea is an infusion of leaves only from the Camellia sinensis.

I’m delighted that I was able to purchase the tea after a recent visit to a gallery in London where they served it as a choice/ range. I’ve just purchased the same tea in tea bags so we can take them with us on picnics and walks.

Delicious

Having had this at Paul Ainsworths restaurant i thought I would give it a go. It seems an expensive tea but a little goes a long way so I was pleasantly surprised how long it has lasted as I have a couple of cups a day and plenty left.

My absolute favourite was the Blackcurrant and Hibiscus herbal tea during a recent Lent fast. It is a rich tasting tea, a wonderful colour and seemed to be rich in antioxidants and other good things. It is delicious and caffeine free.

A great alternative to wine

We love this tea, and find that enjoyed at room temperature it complements food beautifully and is a great alternative to wine. The red fruit flavors, aroma, and hint of tannin provide a palate experience which is similar to red wine, without the alcohol. My wife no longer drinks, and served in a wineglass this tea allows her to enjoy a beverage at dinner that is more interesting than water and allows her to feel included in the full meal experience. Several non-drinking friends have also adopted this tea as a wine alternative after trying it with us. Cheers!

Fruit tea

I just love the blackcurrant and hibiscus infusion . Had it post spa treatment and haven't looked back. It actually tastes of fruit unlike many fruit teas I have tried and the smell is Devine. I ordered some on my retun home the same day and drink it through the day as its so refreshing. I prefer the tea bags as the are more convient to take to work etc.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I store JING tea?

All tea should be kept away from heat, light, moisture and odours. Exposure to these will cause the tea to deteriorate and lose flavour.

We recommend storing our loose teas in our beautiful Refill Caddies or its resealable ziplock bag, and store them in a cool dry place. Generally speaking, black teas and more heavily oxidized oolongs can be stored for a longer time than green, white and lightly oxidized oolong teas. Green teas, white teas and light oolong teas are best drunk within two to three months of opening.

However, they can also be stored in the fridge to maintain freshness for as long as possible. If you choose to store your green, white and light oolongs in the fridge, be careful to take the packs out a little in advance of making your tea so that they can reach room temperature. Opening a bag straight from the fridge will result in condensation on the inside of the pack, which when closed can then affect the quality of the tea inside.

What are your shipping methods and costs?

How do you source your teas?

We don’t just believe that single origin and single garden teas taste better. We go direct to source to get them. Cutting out the middlemen in this way encourages transparency by increasing traceability. It also helps us to build strong relationships with producers, so we can better support them and their communities. We back this up with stringent responsible procurement processes, applicable to all of our suppliers. You can find out more here.
