In the first episode, they set out to distill the essence of London, one of the cultural capitals of the world. JING Founder Ed was asked to introduce them to tea in London. Hosting them at our tasting bar, Ed opened the door to the world of single garden tea through teas like Ali Shan to Wuyi Oolongand of course finishing with Assam Breakfast. “Few things are more beautiful than a cup of tea” said master sommelier, Josep Roca. “One of the other magical things you can see in the world of tea, this blank canvas, is that you participate with your very being in what you’re about to drink.” The teas clearly left a big impact on these masters of taste…
The Roca Brothers themselves are an esteemed family of chefs, whose restaurant El Celler de Can Roca in Catalonia, Spain, has been named as the world’s best restaurant multiple times. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen the brothers on screen either, as youngest sibling Jordi Roca featured in his own episode of acclaimed Netflix series Chef’s Table.
