Sichuan Dew Green Tea
The Origin Story
A new addition to our green tea range, Sichuan Dew is a hand-picked and steamed green tea from the humid plains of central Sichuan. Many would more commonly associate steaming with Japanese green teas, whereas in actual fact the steaming process originated in Sichuan, China. The steaming process enhances the fresh grassy notes and natural sweetness of that you'll find in this tea.

Sichuan is an ancient and distinguished tea province, renowned for green and yellow tea
Sichuan is an ancient seat of tea culture in China. One of the first places where tea was cultivated (Meng Ding Shan) more than 2,000 years ago. A starting point on the Tea Horse Road (an old trade route) linking Yunnan, Sichuan and Tibet, the main product would have been low-quality compressed dark tea suitable for trade. On the other hand it is home to revered tea mountains such as Meng Ding Shan and Emei Shan, which produce high quality teas such as Huangya and Zhuyeqing.

When prepared using a glass strainer it does not clog upon the second or third steeping like other teas. Don't know why this is, maybe because steamed? Wonderful tea, sturdy but not harsh. Thanks, Jing staff for scouting it out.
Great teaThis is my new favourite from Jing! It reminds me of sencha without the price tag. Jing, please keep it always in stock.
Subtle green tea perfect for every day drinkingI recently tried this tea by curiosity but it became one of my favorite green tea for every day drinking! Subtle with a lot of flavors but not bitter or astringent. Exactly as I like green tea. This tea is steamed like japanese tea, but it does not have the classical japanese iodic taste that I am not really found of.Last but not least, it is more affordable for every day drinking than other green teas.
A lovely refreshing tea with subtle aromasThis tea is now my everyday favourite. It is light yet full of subtle flavours. I have even tried it cold and it is great as well. I like the fact that it is not roasted as I love Japanese green teas for that reason.I will buy it again
